Tushara comes to Spinergy Arts with a love of fire arts as well as for all things dance. She has been belly dancing for nearly five years, practicing both Tribal Style and American Cabaret.

She has studied Tribal Style Bellydance with Seattle Tribal teachers such as Katrina Hellbusch, Sharon Moore and Zanbaka. She is a former member of Zanbaka's student troupe, Troupe Zamani and Adriene Rice's student group Students of Troupe Hipnotica.

She has studied Orientale and Cabaret styles with local teachers Mish Mish, Amelia Moore, Saqra, Aaminah and Nabeela El Shalimar. She currently studies with local teacher Aaminah and the teachers at the Suhaila School in California's Bay Area. She is a devotee of Suhaila Salimpour's rigorous belly dance format and is certified Level I in the format.

In 2005 Tushara fell in love with Cuban dance and folklore. This led her to study Cuban dance with Jose Carrion and the songs of the Orishas with Stephen Cherena. She performed at the 2006 Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle with Jose Carrion and Todo Folklore.

Tushara loves to experiment with and learn dances from all over the world. She has also studied Samba with Janelle Keane Campoverde, Hula and Tahitian with Gloria Fujii and Flamenco with Encarnacion Parera.

You can find her with Spinergy Arts eating fire, performing with palm torches, her trusty staff or "Miles," her sweet ass Cas Iberia Turkish fire scimitar.
