Sarah was born under the Big Sky on the Richest Hill on Earth. She spent her days creating art, studying, dancing, and singing. She quickly realized that small-town life was not in her blood, so she escaped mediocrity to come to Seattle and study Graphic Design and the school of hard knocks. After graduation, she spent her days as a part-time freelance Graphic Designer and part-time Renaissance Woman. Sarah first encountered fire dance at a local music show and was completely astounded by it. It seemed like an impossible feat at the time. As luck would have it, she found herself orchestrating charity events with a non-profit arts organization called Hometown Gravy. It was at several of these events that she fell in love with the people of Spinergy Arts, and decided to take the plunge into fire dancing with poi. She was a voracious student, and they taught her everything she needed to know. She reclaimed her love of dance and performance, and was elated to have found this powerful new art. In short time, she auditioned and was accepted as a full-fledged member of the troupe. Current Skills: Poi, hoop, staff, fans, fire-fingers, palm torches, fire-eating, choreography. |
